DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Three people were injured and one person was hospitalized after a 25-year-old driver lost consciousness at the wheel and crashed into oncoming traffic in Dauphin County on Friday.
According to State Police in Lykens, on March 27, at around 5:43 a.m., a 25-year-old male driver was traveling east on State Route 25 in a Ford Explorer, while a second vehicle, a Volkswagen Jetta, was traveling west on Route 25.
Troopers say the driver of the Explorer lost consciousness at the wheel and began drifting into the westbound lane. The operator of the Jetta attempted to swerve out of the way but was struck by the Explorer, causing disabling damage to the Jetta’s left front end.
