PERRY COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — People in Perry County are learning about the future power lines that will stretch across their home county, as well as Mifflin and Juniata Counties. The 220 miles of power lines will begin in West Virginia and are powered by NextEra Energy Transmission and Exelon Corporation.
“You know, we need energy. It’s obvious with the data centers and things expanding, they’re going to need to do something,” said Jamey Halke. “But they need to be respectful of farmland and getting too close to people’s homes.”
