Fire crews in Dauphin County on Friday morning responded to a house fire in Middle Paxton Township.
Around 10:30 a.m., crews with the Middle Paxton Fire Company were dispatched to the 300 block of Mels Drive for a furnace fire.
First responders were initially told the fire was out, but when crews arrived and found a working fire, the call was upgraded to a first alarm, meaning Middle Paxton Fire asked for mutual aid from other fire departments.
