Toddler injured by wolf after sticking hand inside ZooAmerica enclosure

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A toddler suffered minor injuries Saturday after sticking their hand inside of a wolf habitat at ZooAmerica in Hershey.

According to a park spokesperson, the 18-month-old was unsupervised and crawled under an exterior perimeter fence.

The child then made it to the wolf enclosure and put their hand through the fence. A wolf then “approached and made contact with the child’s hand,” the park said.

“This type of response is consistent with natural animal behavior, and was not a sign of aggression. The child was never inside the wolf’s enclosure,” the park said in a statement…
