SILVER SPRING TOWNSHIP – Cumberland Valley junior Vanessa Graziano, who already holds the school record in the 100 meters, bore down and gained significant ground in the final jumps of Saturday’s race at the Bruce Dallas Invitational at Chapman Field.
Graziano just missed catching Conestoga Valley’s Brylee Miller at the tape and finished second in 12.02. Miller’s winning time was 11.91.
“It was definitely my start that held me back a little but, but I’m really proud of myself for it,” she said. “It wasn’t a PR, but it was close and the goal is to try and stay consistent throughout the season.
A couple of hours later, Graziano cruised to a victory in the 200 meters, stopping the teletimer in 24.75, all of which helped the Eagles tie for second place in the team standings on their home track…
