Pennsylvania American Water plans water system upgrades in Dauphin County

HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) — Water system upgrades are coming to part of Dauphin County this spring.

Pennsylvania American Water said it will invest $13.9 Million to improve the Hershey water system. The upgrades, it said, will support future growth, strengthen reliability and improve water flow for both everyday use and firefighing.

“These projects are about making sure Hershey’s water system is ready for the years ahead,”said Bruce Brubaker, senior manager of engineering project delivery for Pennsylvania AmericanWater. “By adding new storage and replacing older pipelines, we’re helping ensure reliableservice, protecting public health, and supporting the community’s continued growth.”…
