HARRISBURG, Pa. — The landlord and owner of several properties in Dauphin County is facing multiple charges after an investigation determined he allegedly submitted fraudulent applications for COVID-19 relief funds using his tenants’ personal information.
Benjamin Eisner, 73, of Brooklyn, New York, reportedly collected more than $167,000 in relief funds as a result of the fraudulent applications, detectives with the Dauphin County Criminal Investigations Division claim in charging documents.
He is charged with felony counts of corrupt organizations, dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, theft by deception (nine counts), attempted theft by deception (two counts) and forgery, along with a misdemeanor count of tampering with records or identification…
