Seven Valleys Railroad Bridge is struck (again), just one day after repairs from last collision are completed

SEVEN VALLEYS, Pa. — Just one day after it was reopened following a week-long repair and repainting project, a historic York County railroad bridge was stuck by a commercial truck on Monday, according to a Facebook group dedicated to providing updates on traffic delays caused by trucks striking the structure.

The historic Seven Valleys Railroad Bridge, otherwise known as York County Bridge 47, was “tap-tap(ed)” by a dump truck sometime Monday morning, according to the Seven Valleys Bridge Watch Facebook group.

The bridge, which spans Seven Valleys Road in southern York County, has reportedly been struck 85 times, counting Monday’s “tap-tap.”…
