New harm reduction vending machine installed in downtown York

YORK, Pa. — A local nonprofit group has teamed with Penn State WellSpan Health to provide a harm reduction vending machine in downtown York.

According to Friends & Neighbors of Pennsylvania Inc., a York-based nonprofit that provides homeless street outreach services in the city, the vending machine was installed outside the Loretta Claiborne Building at 605 S. George St.

“Community members can access free supplies to reduce harm, resources, and tools designed to support health, safety, and meet immediate needs with compassion,” the organization said on its Facebook page…
