Arthur Mac’s Tap and Snack, a beloved neighborhood pizza restaurant and beer garden, is planning to close after nearly a decade in business, becoming the latest restaurant to leave Oakland.
Owners Joel and Jordan DiGiorgio will shutter the 4006 Martin Luther King Jr. Way restaurant in October and, that same month, open a sprawling new outpost in downtown Hayward, where diners will be able to eat pizza and drink beer inside a restored 1973 BART train car.
