(KRON) — The Danville Police Department said an officer spotted a firearm under the driver’s seat when they pulled a man over in June for suspected driving under the influence.

DPD said the incident happened on Diablo Road, and a subsequent search of the vehicle found the driver in possession of a Ruger pistol, an unserialized AR-15 style rifle and a loaded magazine.
Officials said the suspect, who has not yet been identified, was arrested on suspicion of multiple gun-related charges, including possession of an unserialized firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm, in addition to suspected DUI. He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
