Whole Foods could replace shuttered Lucky California at Danville shopping center

Whole Foods Market could be headed to Danville, taking over the former Lucky California space at Sycamore Square.

David Crompton, Danville’s chief of planning, told the Danville Planning Commission this week that the property owner has entered into an agreement with Whole Foods for the former supermarket at 660 San Ramon Valley Blvd.

Crompton said the agreement remained in a contingency period, meaning the grocer’s arrival was not guaranteed. Still, he told commissioners the project appears to be moving in that direction…
