(KRON) — A man who police say repeatedly violated a domestic violence restraining order and exhibited a pattern of stalking a former girlfriend was arrested by Redwood City police Monday. According to the Redwood City Police Department, officers launched an investigation earlier this month after responding to multiple reports of the suspect violating a restraining order.
On Sept. 5, police said the suspect, was seen repeatedly driving near the victim’s residence and reportedly called her more than 75 times. Officers located the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Rudy Fidel Avila Naranjo.

When officers tried to contact him, he took off at a high rate of speed. He was subsequently located by drone and then took off on foot. He was eventually caught, taken into custody and booked for stalking and violating a restraining order.
Naranjo later posted bail and was released on Sept. 6. By 3:30 p.m. that day, officers learned he had called the victim more than 400 times and again went to her residence.
