Walnut Creek Mom, Ex-Delta Pilot Convicted of Molesting Her Daughter for Years

Two separate Contra Costa County juries have convicted a former Delta Air Lines pilot and his ex-girlfriend, a Walnut Creek mother, of repeatedly sexually abusing her young daughter over several years. Rustom Bhagwagar and Jennifer Spitz Powell were each convicted on all charges, including eight counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child age 10 or younger and 12 counts of forcible lewd acts against a child under 14.

The New York Times reported that the flight, Delta Flight 2809, a Boeing 757-300, had arrived at SFO at 9:35 p.m. after departing from Minneapolis. Powell, who lived in Walnut Creek, was arrested three days later, per the same KRON4 account…
