Search for rescued dog’s owner in Hercules

( KRON ) – The Hercules Police Department assists for community assistance in returning a rescued dog to her owner.

A husky dog named Axel and his owner, Lizette, were taking a walk when Axel noticed another dog was stuck in the storm drain in the area of Newbury Street and Cardiff Court. Lizette asked a neighbor, Sheila, to assist in the dog’s recovery. Sheila ensured the dog’s calmness with treats and food.

Hercules officers responded to the area, rescuing the dog. The dog subsequently was taken to the veterinarian.

The rescued dog is a female black Border Collie around six to eight years old.
