Tatiana Santiago-Reeves learned to dance at age one. In 2001, her father, Ray Santiago, took her to Oakland Feather River Camp, which is located in Quincy, California, and run by a small nonprofit in Oakland. They joined a host of other families celebrating that year’s International Folk Dance Week. Santiago-Reeves was hooked. She has danced competitively for decades, and for 22 years in a row, she and her family have never missed a summer at camp.
