A single-engine Cessna aircraft made headlines after a mechanical failure forced its pilot to undertake an emergency landing at the decommissioned Naval Air Station Alameda site early yesterday. According to a social media post by the Alameda Fire Department, the plane with two souls on board began to lose altitude around 10:26 a.m. but was guided safely back to earth by the quick actions of its pilot.
