( KRON ) — A body was found wrapped in plastic on a road Wednesday evening in San Leandro, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP). Around 6:56 p.m., officers were dispatched to a call about a deceased individual near the intersection of Hesperian Boulevard and Springlake Drive offramp.
According to CHP’s preliminary investigation, it appears an unhoused person was using plastic material to stay dry. Officers who arrived on the scene located one deceased person within an unhoused encampment.
