California Gov. Newsom’s approval rating climbs; Los Angeles, Bay Area residents give highest marks

A new statewide survey by the Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) reveals that more than half of Californians approve of Governor Gavin Newsom’s job performance. Conducted between February 4 and 11, the study surveyed 1,589 adult residents on state and federal leadership.

According to the findings, 52% of all voters and 55% of likely voters support Newsom, while 47% of adults and 45% of likely voters disapprove. His approval rating has improved slightly from October when it was 44% among adults.
