Bay Area man could face over 100 years in prison for violent ‘daylong crime spree’

A Bay Area man faces more than100 years in prison after being convicted last week of a “ daylong crime spree ” in Monterey County.

A jury found 37-year-old Tele Matangi of Pittsburg guilty of multiple charges stemming from a violent crime spree across the region in September 2023, the Monterey County District Attorney’s office said Tuesday.
