SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A warming trend is set to bring the highest temperatures of the year to the Bay Area and Central Coast early next week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Clear skies and light winds will dominate the region, with temperatures expected to reach the upper 70s along the coast and mid-80s inland by Monday and Tuesday.
The NWS reports that a ridge building over the West Coast will push surface temperatures well above normal. Coastal temperatures may fluctuate depending on the interaction between offshore winds and the sea breeze.
Temperatures are expected to drop to the upper 40s or low 50s at night, keeping the HeatRisk in the minor category.…
