NORTH BEACH — After what seemed like a dozen near-misses, Kennedy’s Indian Curry House and Irish Pub closed for good in mid-February. A still-to-be-resolved back and forth is playing out between owner Brahmabuta Swami and his landlord, the Hong Kong-based Shu Ming Investment Co. Limited, both sides contending issues stemming from the handoff of the building and property. Swami says this is the end for Kennedy’s at 1040 Columbus Avenue.

CIVIC CENTER — Upstairs anchor tenant Kayma Algerian Eatery left Saluhall on Wednesday, March 19. Owners Wafa and Mounir Bahloul, La Cocina graduates serving big bowls of hardy Algerian fare and delicate pastries, say they’ll take time to focus on family before reopening elsewhere…
