Tragic Double Collision in Union City Claims Life of Pedestrian, Drivers Cooperate with Investigation

A somber mood envelops Union City after a fatal vehicle collision involving a pedestrian and two drivers yesterday. According to a press release from the Union City Police Department, the first incident occurred at the intersection of Dyer Street and Cabello Street, where a vehicle collided with an adult female pedestrian.

After striking the pedestrian, the male driver exited his vehicle, attempting to ascertain her condition. It was during this moment they were both struck by another vehicle driven by an adult female. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to discover both the pedestrian and the vehicle’s driver with major injuries. “Officers began administering aid,” the Union City Police Department stated, highlighting their immediate response.

The tragic consequence of this sequence of events resulted in the death of the pedestrian at the scene. The male driver, however, was transported to a hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition.
