(KRON) – The first Fremont homicide of the year occurred Friday night, according to authorities.
Fremont Police Department officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 39000 block of Overacker Avenue at approximately 6:42 p.m. Arriving officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wound(s).
Per Fremont PD, one of the victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a trauma center. The other victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.
