Iguanas, the San Jose Mexican restaurant known for its gargantuan Burritozilla and popular orange Zilla sauce, is calling it quits after over 30 years. The iconic burrito spot’s final day of service at the bright purple house at 300 S. 3rd St. will be July 27.
“Today, we announce our retirement, a major milestone for our family,” read an Instagram post from Iguanas in early July. “We’re still working out the final details, but we wanted to share this news early so you have plenty of time to stop by, share a meal, and swap stories. We’d love to see you, reconnect, and say thank you in person!”
