(KRON) — The Oakland Police Department seized 27 guns and made multiple felony arrests for serious crimes in less than a week, the department announced Friday.
On Sunday, one Oakland man was arrested in connection to a 2024 armed carjacking, the Oakland Police Department said. That same day, another man from Oakland was arrested for a robbery and an assault that happened in May.
On Monday, OPD arrested an Oakland man for an alleged robbery at a business on the 4100 block of Redwood Road. Also on Monday, OPD arrested a man for possession of an assault rifle during a traffic stop. Officers proceeded to search his Oakland home, where they seized two more guns and arrested another suspect for warrants related to multiple shootings.
