Contra Costa man faces life in prison for deadly DUI crash on Highway 162

OROVILLE, Calif. – A man from Contra Costa County was arraigned in Butte County Superior Court Friday on charges of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence causing injury.

38-year-old Fernando Martinez Lynch of Oakley was informed of the charges related to a fatal crash on Highway 162 on Wednesday. The Butte County District Attorney’s Office says the charges could result in a life sentence in state prison for Lynch.
