(KRON) — Charges have been announced for a man who allegedly fired on Oakland Police Department officers who were responding to a 911 call on Friday. Alameda County District Attorney Ursula Jones Dickson announced Tuesday that Jesse Fahrner, 54, would be charged with multiple counts of attempted premeditated murder and shooting at OPD officers with a semiautomatic handgun.
Fahrner, according to the DA is facing five counts of willful, deliberate, and premeditated murder of a peace officer engaged in the performance of their duty. He is facing five additional counts of assault on a peace officer with a semiautomatic firearm.

Additionally, the DA said Fahrner is facing sentence enhancements for firing a gun and two counts of felony child abuse.
According to the DA’s officer, Fahrner is alleged to have fired at Oakland officers responding to a 911 dispatch related to a domestic violence disturbance at an apartment complex on the 1000 block of West Grand Avenue at 1:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 8.
