(KRON) — Hundreds of yellowjacket nests around Contra Costa County have been reported to vector control officials as the area experiences a yellowjacket population surge this summer.
“These are very aggressive yellowjackets. They will bite and sting repeatedly, and sometimes they will chase you,” said Nola Woods of Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District. “They seem to be everywhere this year.”
