Culture Makers: Celebrating Oakland immigrants and working on the frontlines

Every day, immigrants from all corners of the globe play a role in shaping Oakland’s identity and contributing to its vibrancy. Immigrants help make Oakland beautiful by bringing diversity to our neighborhoods and schools, powering our small businesses, and enriching our collective cultural life.

In a moment of intensified federal attacks against immigrant communities, we are gathering to highlight their stories and talk about some of the ways Oaklanders can and are stepping up to provide local aid and resources.
