Stop putting cones in front of your house, San Bruno PD tells residents

(KRON) — Many of San Bruno’s residential streets are public, which means, anyone can park their car on them. Police said some residents, however, have been using cones and garbage cans as personal “reserved” parking signs.

On Tuesday, the San Bruno Police Department wrote a message to the community reminding homeowners that it’s unlawful to block off access to street parking.

SBPD wrote, “About those cones and garbage cans … we understand parking in the city is limited and finding a spot can feel like winning the lottery. But here’s the deal. Public streets are for everyone. Blocking off parking isn’t just inconsiderate — it’s not allowed.”…
