Oakland: City Secures $30 Million Grant For Martin Luther King Jr. Way Streetscape Project

Oakland has received a $30 million grant from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s Regional Measure 3 program to build the Martin Luther King Jr. Way Streetscape Improvements project, city officials announced Friday.

The funding will pay for pedestrian upgrades, a new two-way cycle track, tree planting and fiber cable installation along Martin Luther King Jr. Way between 2nd and 14th streets, city officials said.
