A Concord Homeless Shelter and Recovery Provider is Doubling in Size

Concord, CA – September 15, 2025 – RESTORE, a faith-based nonprofit offering transitional housing and recovery programs in Contra Costa County, has announced a strategic plan to double its housing capacity over the next three years.

The plan will expand RESTORE’s current operations from three homes with 24 beds to six homes with 48 beds by 2028. This growth will significantly increase the organization’s ability to serve men, women, and children in need of safe, supportive housing, personal spiritual care, and family reunification.

The strategic plan was developed in partnership with The Barnabas Group – Bay Area Chapter, whose expertise helped shape RESTORE’s long-term vision and ensure sustainable growth to meet rising demand.

To help fund the expansion, RESTORE is hosting three fall fundraisers at different church events throughout the community. The first event was held on September 12 at Community Presbyterian Church in Danville and featured dinner, personal testimonies, and live music. The events are intended to raise capital and attract business sponsorships to support the doubling of capacity and impact.

“We are excited to share our vision for growth and invite the community to join us in this mission,” said Mike Sisler, Executive Director at RESTORE. “With the support of The Barnabas Group-Bay Area Chapter, and the generosity of our community, we are poised to make a lasting impact by providing more individuals the opportunity to rebuild and create a new story for their lives.”…
