In a recent incident in South San Francisco that ended in tragedy, police conducted a welfare check at a Nursery Way residence after receiving a concerning call. The South San Francisco Police Department has stated that upon their arrival yesterday, members of the Crisis Negotiations Team established phone contact with an occupant and ensured the safe exit of two individuals from the house.
During the evacuation process, officers reported hearing what they believed were two gunshots originating from within the domicile. After which, they called for backup from the North Central Regional SWAT team. The arrival of the SWAT team brought with it a deluge of additional resources and expertise, which were crucial in the subsequent entrance and securing of the residence.
