Bay Area restaurant ordered to close after worker caught slamming raw beef onto dirty concrete

It didn’t take long for the video to spread on social media: An employee, crouched in an alley behind a Bay Area restaurant, slamming racks of uncooked frozen short ribs onto pieces of cardboard barely covering the concrete below, surrounded by trash and a mop bucket.

On Thursday, hours after the video, shot from above on a nearby roof and posted on TikTok, went viral and a Reddit sleuth identified the restaurant, the Santa Clara County Environmental Health Department shut down Pho Love in Milpitas. An inspection report confirmed what happened in the video and cited a slew of health violations, including a cockroach infestation, raw chicken stored on the floor and improper handling of the raw ribs. The inspector ordered Pho Love to close immediately.
