In the dark: After a blackout meltdown, Waymo stays mum

Waymo declined to reveal how many of its robocars stalled during last month’s blackout when questioned Friday at a meeting of the California Public Utilities Commission, the agency that regulates autonomous vehicles.

Waymo representative Jack Stoddard said that providing a number, when combined with publicly available information, would reveal trade secrets about the fleet and its deployment.
