(KRON) — One person is dead and another is hospitalized with serious injuries after a police chase ended in a rollover crash in San Leandro Saturday night.
The crash happened around 11:17 p.m., when the driver of a white Infiniti FX35 lost control around a corner and crashed into a parked car near the intersection of 136th and Bancroft avenues, the California Highway Patrol told KRON4 News.
Officers stopped chasing the SUV on the ground because the car was driving at dangerous speeds, CHP said. A helicopter continued to follow the suspect leading up to the crash.
The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The driver was taken to the hospital with major injuries. Their current condition is not known…
