8 people accused of ransacking Concord mall on Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s shoppers in the East Bay say love was not in the air when some brazen burglars struck a Contra Costa County shopping mall this weekend.

“Friday at about 1:30 in afternoon, eight subjects, looks like five males and three females, entered the Macy’s women’s at Sunvalley Mall with bags. Grabbed about $5,000 worth of merchandise mainly cosmetics, then ran out of the mall got into a car and left,” Lt. Kevin Halm, with the Concord Police Department, said.
