WALNUT CREEK, CALIFORNIA – Whenever people hear that one of their local libraries is closing, they freak out a bit.
Libraries are a place to bring the kids for a storytime, grab books (yes, they still have those) or use a computer for free.
So when the Ygnacio Valley branch (2661 Oak Grove Road) of the Walnut Creek Libraries announced its closure on March 1, many locals were likely a bit nervous.
There’s good news, though. The closure is temporary. And when the library returns, it will be better than ever…
