Pre-Dawn Crossfire On International Boulevard Leaves Three Wounded

Three people were shot in East Oakland today, and all three were taken to hospitals and listed in stable condition, police said. The gunfire broke out during a dispute on the 8800 block of International Boulevard and left neighbors shaken. Investigators said the victims appear to have been struck by stray bullets, and no arrests have been announced.

According to The Mercury News, officers were called to the scene at about 1:55 AM. The victims were identified as a 57-year-old Oakland man, a 32-year-old Oakland man, and a 31-year-old woman from Stockton. The outlet reports the 57-year-old was taken by ambulance, while the other two got themselves to hospitals. The city’s gunshot-detection system recorded the shots as officers began their response.
