East Oakland prowler who engaged in ‘inappropriate behavior’ wanted by police: photos

(KRON) — The Oakland Police Department has released photos of a suspected prowler who has been linked to several incidents in East Oakland. Since Dec. 13, 2025, there have been at least six reports to police of someone entering into residents’ yards, peering into occupied homes and engaging in what police describe as “inappropriate behavior.”

The suspect, police said, has been spotted in several neighborhoods. The most recent incidents occurred in Oakland’s Maxwell Park area between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Some additional reports date as far back as March of last year.

Police say that in most reported cases the incidents occur after 8 p.m.

Oakland PD describes the suspect as a balding man, possibly Caucasian or Latino, in his 40s or 50s. He was last seen wearing a black jacked, white hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans.

The Oakland Police Department is actively investigating these incidents and has deployed additional patrols in affected areas. Anyone with information or who may have been a victim is asked to contact the OPD Special Victims Unit at (510) 238-3641…
