“Ongoing issues with crime” led In-N-Out, the fast food chain, to close its East Oakland restaurant two years ago. The burger purveyor claimed it was the first time in its history that it had shuttered a location.
But now, someone else is stepping in, betting on the location’s future potential.
In-N-Out bought the commercial site in 2004 for $1,725,000. The restaurant was built in 2005 and is 3,220 square feet. Chandi Development bought the property for $1,800,000, according to documents filed with the Alameda County Recorder’s Office.
