On Thursday afternoon, April 9, the City of Alameda announced plans to confirm Girard “Gerry” Beaudin as Alameda’s new City Manager at the regular City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 21.
The City Manager is appointed by and reports directly to the Mayor and City Council. As the city’s chief administrative officer, the City Manager provides leadership and organizational direction for city operations.
Beaudin is expected to begin work on June 30. According to Steven Tavares of East Bay Insiders, Beaudin’s annual base salary is expected to be $383,111.
