Redwood City’s sandwich scene just got a shakeup on Broadway. Nosh Corner quietly opened this week at 2655 Broadway in downtown, taking over the storefront that previously housed Ike’s Lair. The counter-service spot is geared squarely at the lunch crowd, with posted daily hours from 10 AM to 7 PM.
Menu and the Owners’ Pitch
Owner Ken Hout said, “the idea was that we wanted something with a bit of everything,” as reported by The Mercury News. The paper calls out sandwiches such as the Ohh My Nosh, built with shredded chicken, avocado, provolone and pesto, and the Just A Crush, which combines shredded chicken, avocado, orange glaze, Swiss and pickles. Those creations are listed at about $13.50.
The menu also features the vegetarian Avocado A‑Go‑Go and a lineup of drinks that runs from milk teas, generally around $6 to $6.50, to a Mango Matcha Cream priced near $7.50. Rounding things out are smoothies, slushies, salads and baked goods, all designed to keep the options broad without overwhelming the board.
Where to Order
Delivery and pickup listings confirm the shop’s address at 2655 Broadway and show the same sandwiches and drinks available to go. Uber Eats currently lists Nosh Corner’s menu and hours for both pickup and delivery. For now, the operation is set up as a quick counter-service stop rather than a full sit-down cafe.
Replacing a Familiar Name
The new arrival fills a space that many locals still associate with Ike’s Lair, giving downtown Redwood City a fresh lunchtime option after the sandwich chain exited the block. Nosh Corner’s mix of deli-style sandwiches and boba-style drinks fits into a broader Peninsula pattern of grab-and-go shops that pair hefty lunch items with specialty beverages. Owners say the concept is aimed at nearby office workers as well as families making a stop while shopping downtown.
