The final trailer for “Toy Story 5” has just dropped, coinciding with the release of tickets for the highly anticipated film.
Disney and Pixar unveiled this fresh glimpse of the animated sequel on Tuesday, bringing back the beloved toy characters fans know and love.
Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), Jessie (Joan Cusack), and Forky (Tony Hale) return in the new trailer, which introduces a high-tech, frog-shaped smart tablet named Lilypad (voiced by Greta Lee). Lilypad poses a new challenge for the toys, threatening to end their playtime adventures.
The trailer highlights a tense first encounter between Jessie and Lilypad, as the tablet mistakenly calls the cowgirl “Jessica,” sparking Jessie’s frustration.
Later scenes show the toys gathered in a cardboard box in a garage, where Rex (Wallace Shawn) nervously asks, “Are we getting donated?” to which Karen Beverly (Melissa Villaseñor) humorously responds, “Mmm, doughnuts.”
Forky quickly corrects her, saying, “No, sweetie. ‘Do-na-ted.'”
Adding to the star-studded voice cast is music icon Bad Bunny, who voices Pizza with Sunglasses-a character described as “effortlessly cool and mysterious,” part of a group of forgotten toys living in an abandoned backyard shed.
Alan Cumming also joins the cast as Evil Bullseye, the playful alter ego of Bullseye, Woody’s trusty horse. While Bullseye remains silent in the “Toy Story” universe, Cumming lends his voice during a comedic playtime sequence.
“Toy Story 5” is directed by Andrew Stanton, known for his work on “WALL-E” and “Finding Nemo,” with Kenna Harris co-directing. Randy Newman returns once again to compose the score for the fifth installment.
The film is set to hit theaters on June 19.
