Livvy Dunne Makes Splash in First Role on New Baywatch Show

Additional Coverage:

Livvy Dunne was recently spotted on the set of the upcoming Baywatch reboot, embodying the show’s classic beach-ready glam. The 23-year-old social media influencer and former LSU gymnast is joining the cast in a recurring role as Grace, a highly enthusiastic junior lifeguard.

The new Baywatch series, set to premiere on Fox in late January 2027, will consist of 12 episodes. Dunne was seen sporting the iconic red one-piece swimsuit, her blonde hair styled in loose waves, as she filmed scenes alongside co-star Brooks Nader earlier this year.

With over 15 million followers across platforms like Instagram and TikTok, Dunne is one of the most-followed NCAA athletes. She retired from collegiate gymnastics in April 2025 due to a kneecap injury, ending her athletic career at Louisiana State University. At the time, she shared a heartfelt message on social media bidding farewell to gymnastics while expressing her pride in LSU.

This Baywatch role marks Dunne’s first major acting opportunity. She revealed in March that she has been taking acting lessons and is passionate about exploring this creative path. While gymnastics was her primary focus during college, she’s now embracing new opportunities in the entertainment industry, enjoying the collaborative nature of acting and the satisfaction of seeing hard work come to life on screen.

The Baywatch reboot also stars Stephen Amell as Captain Hobie Buchannon, the son of the original series’ Mitch Buchannon, played by David Hasselhoff. Other cast members include Jessica Belkin, Shay Mitchell, and fellow social media star Noah Beck. Returning original cast members David Chokachi and Erika Eleniak will also make appearances.

Amell recently teased the show on Instagram with a slow-motion trailer clip featuring key cast members, including Dunne, promising “same beach, new blood,” a nod to the series’ iconic style and legacy. Fans can look forward to a fresh take on the beloved series when it debuts in early 2027.
