Doja Cat Criticizes Elon Musk Over Removal of Audio Post Feature on X

Rapper Doja Cat has publicly expressed her frustration with Elon Musk following the removal of the audio post feature on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. On June 3, Doja Cat took to X to demand the return of the feature, which allowed users to share voice-note posts. Rather than a polite request, her message included sharp insults directed at Musk, calling him a “frog build looking b—h” and comparing him to a “barrel chested ewok.”

The audio post feature was discontinued in early 2025, although users can still send voice memos via direct messages. Doja Cat’s outburst comes shortly after Musk launched the most advanced version of his Starship spacecraft.

This is not the first time Musk has faced criticism from high-profile musicians. In October 2025, Billie Eilish referred to him as a “pathetic p—y b—h coward” during an acceptance speech at the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards, condemning his accumulation of wealth. Similarly, Grimes, Musk’s former partner and mother of three of his children, criticized X as “poison” and “a prison,” voicing concerns about child privacy after Musk publicly showcased their young son at political events.

Other artists who have voiced disapproval of Musk include Robyn, Neil Young-who released a song critical of Tesla-and Jack White, who condemned Musk’s decision to reinstate former President Donald Trump’s X account. Elton John also announced his departure from the platform, citing policy changes under Musk’s ownership that he says enable misinformation and deepen societal divides. Dionne Warwick has also spoken out against the frequent and radical operational shifts Musk has implemented on X.

Despite the backlash from several public figures, X reported total revenue between $2.9 billion and $3.1 billion in 2025. The platform’s premium subscription service contributed approximately $1 billion in revenue, though overall profits have yet to return to pre-Musk levels.
