Robert Irwin Extends a Unique Honeymoon Invitation to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
Robert Irwin, renowned Australian wildlife conservationist and son of the legendary Steve Irwin, has extended a gracious invitation to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for their honeymoon. He offered them the opportunity to stay at The Crocodile Hunter Lodge, a luxury resort nestled within his family’s Australia Zoo in Queensland.
The couple, who recently married on July 3 at New York’s Madison Square Garden in a highly private and closely guarded ceremony, reportedly declined Irwin’s earlier offer to hold their wedding at the zoo, which features scenic views of an African savanna section and regularly hosts weddings.
In a lighthearted interview with Access Hollywood, Irwin acknowledged the couple’s preference for Madison Square Garden, joking about the considerable distance between the U.S. and Australia. However, he remains hopeful they will consider his honeymoon offer, highlighting the lodge’s five-star accommodations, including an infinity pool overlooking kangaroo paddocks-a truly unique setting for newlyweds.
The Crocodile Hunter Lodge offers guests the chance to experience Australian wildlife up close, including encounters with emus, koalas, and, fittingly, crocodiles from a safe distance. Accommodations range from one-bedroom cabins starting at $949 per night to larger two-bedroom options exceeding $4,000.
In an effort to make the offer even more enticing, Irwin added that he would personally teach Swift and Kelce how to “wrangle a crocodile,” confident that the adventurous couple would enjoy the experience.
While it remains to be seen whether Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will take up this extraordinary invitation, Robert Irwin’s persistence and the lodge’s remarkable setting offer a memorable alternative for a honeymoon unlike any other.
