After two decades together, Texas metalcore stalwarts Oh, Sleeper are gearing up to launch a new chapter in their musical journey.
The band has officially wrapped up work on their first studio album since 2019’s Bloodied/Unbowed. While details such as the album’s title and release date remain under wraps, frontman Shane Blay took to Instagram to confirm that the record is mastered and ready to go, with further announcements anticipated soon.
This milestone concludes a creative process that fans have eagerly tracked throughout the year. The group entered the studio earlier in 2026 with longtime collaborator Andreas Magnusson, who has produced all of Oh, Sleeper’s full-length releases. Originating from Fort Worth in 2006, Oh, Sleeper quickly emerged as a defining force in late-2000s metalcore. Led by vocalist Micah Kinard and guitarist/clean vocalist Shane Blay, the band earned acclaim for their blend of heavy breakdowns, soaring melodies, and introspective lyrics. Albums like When I Am God, Son of the Morning, and Children of Fire cemented their status within the genre.
