Ronnie Wood, widely known as the guitarist for the legendary Rolling Stones, has made a notable return to solo performing after a hiatus of more than 15 years. Although he has remained active with the Stones, his focus on solo projects has been limited-until now.
Earlier this year, Wood announced his first solo performances since 2010, coinciding with the release of his new anthology, Fearless: Anthology 1965-2025, which highlights his extensive and influential career. His initial solo appearances were set for mid-July, including a show at the Luca Summer Festival in Italy on July 17 and a co-headlining concert with Van Morrison on July 16. These marked his significant re-entry as a solo artist, though they were not initially part of a broader tour.
However, momentum quickly built as Wood added a September solo concert in Amsterdam, which sold out almost instantly. Due to high demand, he added a second Amsterdam show and continued expanding what has become the Europe-wide Fearless tour. The tour now includes performances across England, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, France, and Portugal.
In a message to fans on Instagram ahead of his July performances, Wood expressed excitement about the tour: “I’m really looking forward to touring this summer all over Europe for my Fearless tour, playing some songs that I’ve always wanted to play.” He also highlighted his carefully assembled solo band and promised a diverse setlist featuring music from his time with Faces, the Rolling Stones, and his solo work.
The early shows have been met with enthusiasm, with Wood revisiting songs he hasn’t performed live in years and captivating audiences across the continent. This successful return has heightened anticipation for upcoming dates.
His next concert is scheduled for August 21 in London, with the tour concluding in Lisbon, Portugal, on September 14. Wood’s last full solo tour took place in 2010, supporting his seventh studio album, I Feel Like Playing. Since then, he has kept busy with various projects, including a 2019 tour supporting the live tribute album Mad Lad: A Live Tribute to Chuck Berry, performed with his backing band, the Wild Five.
Ronnie Wood’s renewed solo journey marks an exciting chapter for both longtime fans and new listeners alike, offering a fresh look at a remarkable musical legacy.
